Flying Into the Pattern with the DOF Reality H3 Motion Rig and Pimax Crystal Light
Hey everyone, welcome back! In this latest video, I take you on a nighttime pattern flight out of Lakeland Linder Airport in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, while showcasing the DOF Reality H3 with the SFU upgrade—my first time flying with this motion rig on the channel!

We’re dialing in the full immersive VR experience using the Pimax Crystal Light headset, paired with force feedback via a Buttkicker system, and all powered by a beastly PC setup. The video also covers the buzz around the upcoming Sun ‘n Fun Airshow in Lakeland, Florida, and a look at the newly improved EFB functionality in the Sim Update 2 beta for MSFS.
You’ll also get some honest, in-the-moment impressions of how the fixed foveated rendering is holding up in VR, what it’s like flying with gusty winds, and the sheer fun of pattern work in the Carenado Cessna 182 Skylane RG (retractable gear). Expect real, raw flying—this is about having a blast, not perfect procedures!
