Hey there, friends and fellow flight sim enthusiasts—it’s been a while.
First off, thank you. If you’re reading this, you’ve stuck around through the silence, and I appreciate that more than you know. It’s been a tough few months, and I want to take a moment to explain where I’ve been, what’s happening in the world of flight sim and VR, and what exciting things are coming up.
Where I’ve Been
The last video I posted was back in December—a tour of my office setup. Since then, a lot has changed. I now have two full sim rigs, including a motion platform from DOF H3, which has been a game-changer (more on that later). But January hit me hard. I lost my older brother. We were Irish twins—shared the same birthday—and he passed after a long battle with type 1 diabetes.

Losing him was one of the hardest things I’ve ever faced. Creating content just didn’t feel right. I still flew occasionally, connected with the community here and there, but sitting in front of a camera? That felt impossible. I recorded this video multiple times before finally uploading it. I needed space to grieve, and thankfully, I had support from family, friends, and so many of you.
Upcoming Events: FS Expo and Sun ‘n Fun
Now, looking ahead.

Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo is coming up April 1–6 in Lakeland, Florida. It’s a phenomenal airshow, and if you’re in Florida (or anywhere nearby), it’s worth the trip. Blue Angels, F-16s, F-35s, and more. I’ve even worked it before as an ATC—it’s wild being on the ramp with jets thundering by.

FlightSim Expo 2025 will be held June 27–29 in Providence, Rhode Island. Last year’s event was amazing—I met so many of you, got hands-on with cutting-edge sim tech, and connected with some incredible developers. I plan to attend again, even though many of my friends won’t be able to make it this time. I’ll be there—and I hope to see you.
Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 Beta: Updates & Frustrations

Let’s talk tech. Microsoft’s Sim Update 2 Beta for MSFS 2024 is out, and it’s a big one.
They’re testing new memory logging features which might cause slight performance dips (temporarily). There’s also a revamp of the challenge and career modes, with progress and leaderboards now separated between the beta and live builds.
If you’re in the beta, you’ve probably noticed changes—and maybe some bugs. I’ve had constant CTDs (crash to desktop). I updated everything: graphics drivers, Pimax software, even removed the community folder. Still crashing. It’s frustrating, especially when I want to test and report back.
VR Updates: A Mixed Bag
Some VR-specific improvements did come with Sim Update 2, including better toolbar interaction (ALT+T works!) and UI stability improvements. But frustratingly, the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) still isn’t usable in VR. It’s baffling that such a key feature isn’t VR-ready—hopefully that changes soon.
On the upside, foveated rendering support is here! For those with eye-tracking hardware like the Pimax Crystal, this means improved performance by focusing rendering power where you’re looking. Reports suggest up to 10–15 FPS gains. That’s huge.
My Current Setup
I’m running a motion rig now—the DOF Reality H3, and let me tell you, combining motion, VR, and force feedback from Moza it is next-level. It’s what I call the “Holy Trinity” of sim immersion. I plan to do a full video breakdown, and maybe bring in some friends to capture their reactions, too.
I’m also flying with Moza force feedback and recently added the WinWing PFP73 Boeing Panel to the setup. It’s awesome, especially for VR flying where muscle memory matters most. You can’t see the hardware—but you know exactly where everything is and it increases immersion for me.

What’s Coming Up
Here’s what to expect in the next few videos:
- DOF H3 Motion Platform Review
- Wing-Wing PFP Panel Review
- Sun ‘n Fun and FS Expo Coverage (possible)
- How to Build Your Own DIY Sim Rig (finally!)
- Long-term Product Reviews (3, 6, 12-month)
I’m also working on simplifying my video process—just turning on the camera and talking to you all like friends. Less stress, more connection.
Final Thoughts
To those who reached out asking where I’ve been—thank you. It meant the world. I’m back, and I’m here to keep sharing my passion for VR flight sim, hardware, and everything in between.
Let’s keep flying, keep building, and keep growing—together.
